My journey began with a simple conviction, that clothing should be crafted with intention. From materials that feel good on the body, to hands and minds that care for the world that made them. Since 2017, I’ve been driven by a love for natural textiles and the belief that fashion can be thoughtful, kind, and lasting rather than rushed and wasteful.
Motherhood has deepened the values that were already at the heart of my work. My daughters remind me daily why I wanted to build this business in the first place, to create work that reflects the pace and values I want for our family. Slow, joyful, purpose led. It has deepened my commitment to slow fashion, to small batch thinking, and to ways of working that honour people and place.
I design and consider each piece in relation to the life that surrounds it, the everyday and the extraordinary. Our collections are rooted in beautifully considered natural fibres, largely handloom fabrics that hold memory and subtle uniqueness in every thread. Each garment carries the gentle marks of human care, tiny variations that speak to the hands that brought it into being.
Studio Ren exists because I want to make things that matter, without hurry, without excess. I value collaboration with makers who share a commitment to ethical practice, and I’m proud of the women led studios we work with, from South India to here in the UK. At the same time, I’m building a business that my family can grow into, one that prioritises time with the people I love, a thoughtful pace of creation, and a future where mindful work and mindful life are one and the same.
